Hello and thank you for checking out my portfolio. I recently graduated from MA Journalism at the University of the West of England (UWE). I am currently based in Bristol. In this website, you will be able to find a portfolio of the work I have done including during my course and during work experience.
at this moment, I also work as a teaching assistant/cover teacher at a private spanish and theatre after school class in bristol and as nursery cover teacher.
i also volunteer as an article narrator for aurea (links to narrations can be found later in this document).

Work made during my course
As part of my final year project, I worked on a radio package which aims to demystifying the experiences of those that identify within the Asexual and/or Aromantic Spectrums by intertwining the experiences of those who identify in the spectrums and activists.
Work experience at UJIMA Radio (18/04/22 - 22/04/22)
As part of the work experience for my course, I spent a week at UJIMA Radio, a local radio station in Bristol.
During this week I:
- was taught how to create a jingle, and created some for the Living Show
- Wrote a press release
- shadowed in some of the station programmes
- wrote a Document Brief, and researched the contact and information of speakers mentioned in the climate summit (to take place 7th May) in the Bristol Post article. The research was done in preparation for the takeover to be done by UJIMA on the day of the summit.
A few months later, I had the opportunity to sit in one of the shows as a live guest to discuss asexuality.

Work experience at Bauer Media (25/7/22 - 29/7/22)
During the work placement, I wrote online articles, radio bulletin scripts and edited clips from interviews for the radio bulletins.
Work experience at GBC Newsroom (22/08/22 - 26/08/22)
During the work placement, I:
- was taught about BUrli and got some practice with the programme
- transcribed and made notes from interview audio clips
- Wrote prose based on the notes from the three interviews -> to be used in the description of the interview videos on YouTube and on the online website article.
- Went out to do Vox Pops about people´s experience of the General Strike of 1972
- Shadowed some of the jopurnalists
- drafted scripts based on press releases
- sat in at gallery as the tv programmes went live
- shadowed the court reporter
- cleaned audio from interview clip on burli
- helped select 30 second audio clips for radio

Around the Globe is a travel magazine that we created as a production group as part of our final year module Creative Magazine Production. The Loga and image used for the cover were made by me.
